Micromax A110 Superfone Canvas 2

Two of my college friends have bought this. The device looks good, a nice purchase at this price point. There is slight lag even while going through the app drawer, and that came as a surprise to me as my dad's Micromax A90 doesn't experience any such lag issues.Micromax has even launched A101 with is similar to A110.
 
for the research I've done so far on this model its pretty Decent for sub 10,000 INR phone, Don't compare it with Samsung S III, or even SII, I would say 10K is pretty well justified by micromax.Lags are not much as Dual Core Helps little to keep lags away by which a limited 512mb RAM can cause.However I am sure if this was 1GB RAM, micromax would have mutiplied their market share many folds by now, but you cannot expect more in 10K.This A110 Phone is on my wish list though
 
I think this phone has pretty much trumped the cards of other Android OEMs low range offerings including Samsung, Sony, HTC and Nokia. Samsung being the largest player and on a same platform should be badly affected. I have started seeing people carrying this phone and talking about it without giving shit about local brand. Indian market is very unpredictable and way too price conscious (after all its their hard earned money!).
 
My Dad's friend bought it yesterday for 9800 at a brick/mortar shop. Junglee.com also has a couple of sellers selling at around 10+. I am not sure how he is able to sell at such a higher price.Saholic also seems to have it for 10k.
 

What is wrong with this phone pricing now.
Its out of stock on Flipkart for about a week, and elsewhere its pricing has gone way too high.

I've seen people grabbing this for like 9700-9800 but now Its 12490 making it difficult to buy
Cheapest ebay option i found is Micromax A110 SuperFone Canvas 2 Android 4.0.4 Wifi 4GB Dual Sim 5 inch 8MP Cam | eBay can someone help me understand this steep rise in price !!!!!

My colleague in office paid 11.5 K for this phone. Although it is with bill, he told that because of stock issues, prices are more now.
 
here in ncr region you will not get this model easily , and thats why high prices

hmmm, the seller i listed sold for Rs. 10,500.00 on 03-Dec-2012 14:09:37 IST so its 2k Increase in a month, I don't think micromax deserves such a steep premium, Maybe the Television commercial cost is being vasooled from prospect buyer which I am not going to pay.Will wait a few days before i take the leap.
 
These companies are only playing with people's patience. One's who are impatient and want the gadget at any cost will pay and others would wait till the price is right (as per them).
 
@ghpk - I saw a couple of other folks, manu & one more person were recommending iBall Andi 4.5, also at 12.5k to someone here over Canvas 2 with some justification, so you can check that out as well.
