the first screenshot is misleading. if you press alt key (may be other keys also), the bottom portion which has the checkbox to opt out of ask toolbar gets hidden.

the actual screen is as follows

yeah. i got this screen first. and i pressed some key. and that option disappeared. could not find a way to get it back. so yeah, it is sort of deceptive. but i got deceived all right.i think i pressed space bar to disable the checkbox. whatever happened, the option just disappeared. no back button. just install.

I have lost track of the number of apps that have asked me to install the ask toolbar. wtf is ask's business strategy? spam their way into people's computers?utorrent keeps bundling more and more useless shit with every release. toolbars, browser search redirection, download albums by shitty artists no one is ever gonna hear etc. etc.
