I am stationary with parking lights blinking as I am waiting for my fufa ji to make space for parking (he blocks a slot with his scooter so i have to wait for him to remove the scooter so that i can park my car at that spot). And I see this guy in my rear view mirror driving super fast on his bike. My car is in his way and another car is coming in the other lane. So, he has nowhere to go but to brake. He applies brake. Bike skids. He hits me. He hits the car coming from front. He takes a dive hitting another car when he skids and comes to a stop. So this guy basically scratched three cars because of his stupidity. It was raining in Delhi so roads were slippery. Here is the damage on my car:

he hit you? woa. Disc brakes does that. unless ABS is on. And AFAIK apache is the only affordable bike with ABS on it.

i am going to bet that he was on a pulsar. i did not see the bike because he was pretty much under the third car he hit after skidding. i did help him get out from under the car (that car was also stationary parked on the side of the road). i left after he got up. was too angry at that time to do anything more.

u were lucky , a bike rammed into my hatch while i was waiting at traffic signal tail lamp got kapooth and hatch got buckled in costed me 5000 INR after insurance for nothing 😡

yeap. i know i was lucky. few years ago, an ******* auto guy hit me with a bang from behind on the ring road in delhi. and i was stationary on a ****ing red light. and i saw him come at full force again in my rear view mirror and as with today, there was nothing i could do about it but say profanities in my mind.i am actually impressed with the build quality of linea. the guy hit me rather hard. the scratches do not tell the whole story. if it was a swift (i have owned two of them). the car bumper would have dislodged easily. but on linea, the bumper is still in its place. as solid as ever. just these scratches.reminds me of the first accident on my first car. i was stationary on one of the roundabouts in delhi. i was actually parked on the left side of the road asking directions from a cop. and i saw this biker guy talking on the phone not seeing where he was going and bang. hit me in the rear. dislodged the bumper even though he was probably driving at around 20kmph. he fell down. cops shouted at him. i was angry. but drove away quietly.

that is also a problem. i mean i have driven a bike for around 6-7 years. so it's not like i consider them as pests on the road. i still own a bike which i ride around sometimes but i have never ever hit a car driving rash. knowing the problem with bikers on the roads, i tend to drive my bike like i would like other bikers to drive on the road. stay away from the car lanes on highways. do not park too close to cars on red lights. do not try to cut them expecting them to brake when you overtake them (this sucks and is a major problem on delhi roads). and so on.i mean i hate it when i keep some space between my car and other cars on red lights or in rush hour traffic. bikers would come and take all the empty space i have left as cushion. and they would be like 2 inches to my car. so any mistake from me or them would mean that they would leave a nasty scratch on my car.

after i got the car , when i ride my bike i always stay away from cars simple reason , whether its my mistake or the car drivers mistake , i will be the one who will be get hurt just the simple logic , i dont understand why they dont get it

that is of course the smarter way of driving. this dude could have gotten seriously hurt becoming a headache for all three of us.

what is your opinion on asking for damage charges. specially like in the case of the auto crash of admin where it wasn't his fault. do you think getting into a fight to ask for damages is worth it?

New car same old story. A biker dude hit the car yesterday. In Delhi. First scratch. Boohoo.
