I am interested in upstart getting main stream rather than using old sysVinit scripts for compatibility.I had read somewhere that upstart can even replace hal too!another problem imo is X configuration which they had supposedly fixed with bullet-proff X.still,the scripts fails to detect monitors,resolutions,graphics cards etc :-|

the posts there claim hardy takes 250mb, think about it, XP took that much back in 2001. for today's machines you can consider a min of 512mb RAM installed or most likely 1-2 GB, no this is a non issue.if for some reason someone needs to install Linux on a sub 512 mb RAM PC then there are other lighter distros like Puppy, XUbuntu etc...
 
well,I am pretty much bored with my archlinux.it gets fcuked up after a power outage(UPS skipped 🙁 )now either I have to reinstall all packages manually 😳well,Debian is Debian 😎
