might be wrong though but from what i remember verizon had developed a workaround. especially on lte. maybe because lte uses a different chip than the voice chip or something like that. traditional cdma devices in usa had this limitation for sure.

Actually it depend on internal antenna.

I have vodafone and BSNL micosim and it works perfectly on iPhone with Facetime activation and all. The only concern was 3G speed. I found nice 3G speed with IDEA and thought I will port to IDEA for iPhone. Another point is the number is from MH and I work in Bangalore. I do have Bangalore numbers but wanted to keep my MH number for iPhone. While on roaming, IDEA network shows INA SPICE and when enable 3G, it catches IDEA 3G or Airtel 3G. When I disable the 3G button and work on 2G (E), I can able to receive incoming calls. But as soon as I enable 3G, I don't receive any calls. I registered complaint physically 2 times.Today I received SMS saying your problem is solved. I rechecked it and nothing solved. And also noticed that roaming charges for 3G are costly even if you have DATA Pack. SO I will have to switch to Vodafone but I have to wait for 2 months. Anybody can tell if Vodafone 3G is roaming is free or not across KA, MH states?Forgot to mention I can receives every calls when on 3G for both Vodafone and BSNL also.

Ok. After 4th complaint for the same problem. The guy from networking called me and confirmed the problem. He asked for 1 day to resolve. Today is second day and I got IDEA message saying "Dear Customer your concern on National Roaming Outroamer has been resolved by TSG.SWITCH." I become little happy to see the message. But when I checked it, nothing is solved problem still there. Whenever I enable 3G on my iPhone, no incoming calls. Ridiculous .... One thing I am disappointed with IDEA CC is why they don't call customer to confirm if the problem is solved or not? Just sending SMS they close the ticket. Poor IDEA. You above "ideacellular" member, show this thread to your higher level manager and stop asking here for account details and all. Useless and pathetic ....

Useless IDEA.. Customer care is worst. People don't know anything iPhone, 3G etc.

Does anyone successfully using IDEA cellular card for iPhone? Does IDEA cellular supports FaceTime?

Yes. I to I. The FaceTime activates itself by 2 ways. 1)From your Apple ID 2) From your mobile number.If person wants to call you, He either call you on your Facetime mobile number or FaceTime email ID.Hi Mohit, the card itself is new one bought a month ago.After the 5th and last complain, IDEA people solved serious issue of mine. I can now receive incoming calls while on IDEA 3G in Bangalore. Internet and Voice calls works fine for me now. Its been more than 2 weeks,they solved the puzzle. Only left with FaceTime activation issue.

facetime works between ios and os devices. i do not see the charm. just switch to hangout. works on windows, linux, os x, android and ios.
