hehe. you do not know my dad. i am not going to get his approval for a connection that is used by me primarily for my work and is shown as a business expense at the time of ITR filing.

well. india does not like people like my dads. i know because of the number of times he was transfered for doing his job. i also know because he is still fighting a lawsuit from a corrupt businessman since 2002. in fact, he is currently out on bail because of that lawsuit. i do not know the exact details of the lawsuit but he is being accused of not depositing a sum of Rs. 2L in office which was paid as tax at his residence. can you believe that? the guy is claiming that he paid 2L in taxes at my home and in cash and did not take a receipt. funny world. ----can i have speedtest and pingtest results from folks who live in gurgaon? especially the friend of x720? 🙂

not a gamer so does not matter. i just want to see if pings to google.com etc are fine and stable. mgcarley told me that bsnl pings are more in the range of 300ms compared to 30ms for google.com. does not really matter because i do not really have any other option. i seriously want to get rid of airtel connection right now. just want to know how stable pings are. and what is the upload and download speeds i can expect on their 4mbps connection 🙂 as folks have already mentioned on the forum that bsnl people are not very interested in checking internet speeds as long as the snr values are fine?

Usually in the range of 40ms to google. I'll ask him to post his results 🙂Nah, that dude prolly hasn't complained properly. mis.bsnl.co.in is the place for proper resolution of complaints. 😉

i put up in Ggn sector 4. got BSNL Combo 850 a few months back (to get rid of Airtel F**uped). you got answers some of your questions, rest are as follows....


ryt now installation fees and some other charges are also waived off. modems are readily avl. with them or you can use your old one also (but you have to configure it on your own) they are lazy ppl, doesn't know much about configuration.

Bsnl has given dealership to pvt. players so they will call you, they collect my documents on sunday itself.

they do not seek any bribe now a days.

i got connectivity issues once, just complained on their MIS portal and got it resolved

they are not technical people, i am using bb forum to take care of my technical needs 🙂

SNR (22) and Attenuation (37) may create problem as i am facing at my place.

pings look bad. can you speedtest airtel delhi servers? 😀

what kind of problems are you facing on your connection regarding SNR and other values? are there random disconnections?
