Synopsis:
Strike Back: Project Dawn, as it is known in the United Kingdom (or just Strike Back in the United States) is a ten-part British-American action serial television series, and the follow up series of Strike Back. However the only cast member to return from the original series was Richard Armitage in his cameo appearance. It was a co-production between British broadcaster, BSkyB (for Sky1) and American premium cable broadcaster, HBO (for Cinemax). The series follows the actions of Section 20, a secret branch of the British Secret Intelligence Service (MI6).

My opinion:
This show is better than it needs to be. A season has 10 episodes, with a mission per 2 episodes taking place in different locations around the world. There will be a overarching story connecting the 10 episodes. It's like watching 5 decent action movies shot within a TV budget. They still use the locations very well. The action is well choreographed. Being a cinemax (skinimax) show, you can sense the nudity around the corner but it's not really gratuitous like in Starz shows. The first UK season only has 6 episodes but I didn't watch that season. It was revamped in the second season called Strike Back: Project Dawn. I only started watching the show from the second season. The first 2 episodes in Strike Back: Project Dawn takes place in India.

The 2-hour premiere of the third season called Strike Back: Vengeance premiered last Friday.

I watched the season premiere a couple of days back. I thought it kicked ass. The show does the same things again and again but it does those things so well. I enjoy the banter between the lead characters - Damien Scott and Michael Stonebridge. The 720p encode looked gorgeous as always. I'm glad to have the section 20 "strike back" again.

Watched both episodes of season 4. Looks like we are in for a lot of action in the coming 8 eps.

2nd ep was fantastic. 3rd season was the weakest. first 2 rocked. now it seems they are getting back in the groove.

Are they coming back for the 4th/5th season? I'm gonna start watching from the prequel or whatever it is.

Yes. There will be one final season this summer.
And "Strikeback: Origins" is not a prequel. It's the first season produced by UK before Cinemax came into picture. I managed to see that season last year.
