Mom wants to take niece to a yamuna ghat in Delhi to drop her hair and well wash her face with the 'holy' water of the river. Told her that Yamuna is not really safe for doing the washing part in Delhi. She would not agree. Anyone has any idea here where the ghats in Delhi are for such ceremonies? She said there is one near the Red Fort. Could not find much information on Google.

Dropping hair in Yamuna sounds like pollution. 😀

its on banks of river .......not in the river i think. @chromy ,make her show satyamev jayate river wala episode :Radio:

i think indian laws are pretty lax when it comes to religious festivities. what we hindus do in haridwar is a good example.

My mother wanted to offer a Saree and some other articles to Ganga @ Kashi. I persuaded her to just dip it in Ganga for namesake and then donate it.

hehe. i am still looking for accessible ghats on yamuna in delhi region. please help someone?

ITO bridge is fine to drop stuff into yamuna. she wants to go to the river to wash niece's face with the water 😱

lol. i had rather take her to northern haryana region where yamuna might be cleaner.
