The recent Kamal movie I had seen was "Dashavataaram". Now not interested in his movies.
In Dashavataaram, he created 10 roles just for the sake of it, dragged the movie so much!

The recent Kamal movie I had seen was "Dashavataaram". Now not interested in his movies.
In Dashavataaram, he created 10 roles just for the sake of it, dragged the movie so much!
This is the problem with Kamal Hassan, often I think he makes movies that he would like to act in, rather than making movies that people would like to watch.

For sure one can have the joy of watching the movie at home but not the experience of viewing it in the theatre," he said adding the film boasted of latest sound technology.
Haasan had kicked up a row when he decided to release his trilingual 'Viswaroopam' on Direct-To-Home platform eight hours ahead of its release on January 11 next.

Kamal Haasan's Vishwaroopam faced more turbulence on Friday as a joint meeting held by the Tamil Nadu Theater Association(TNTA) boycotted the idea of premiering it directly on the distributed hash table.
The meeting took place in Chennai and the board accepted the idea of the Chennai Theater Federation, head by Abirami Ramanathan which suggested that DTH films shouldn't be screened in theaters.
The event also had another powerful body taking part, in the Tamil Nadu Distributors Federation (TNDF).
This agrees with the cable operators across Tamil Nadu who feel that their business will face disrupt with any DTH release. This makes the problem more complex for Kamal Haasan who is already facing issues in North India after multiplex giants PVR being against the Tamil DTH release. Apparently, the group worry that the idea will speak a similar change in Bollywood.

Kamal Hassan’s upcoming spy thriller ‘Viswaroopam’ is all set to premiere on DTH platform via Airtel digital TV, a day before its theatrical release.
The first of its kind initiative in India will enable customers of Airtel DTH to view the movie 12 hours before its theatrical release.
“I’m proud to be associated with Airtel DTH in this pioneering venture, which takes the combination of entertainment and technology to even greater heights. I’m very happy with the thought that many more viewers will be able to enjoy Vishwaroopam in the comfort of their homes,” said Hassan.
Produced and directed by Haasan, the film stars the 58-year-old actor in the lead along with Pooja Kumar, Rahul Bose, Andrea Jeremiah and Jaideep Ahlawat.
While the movie would release in theatres on January 11, 2013, it will be premiered on Airtel DTH’s Pay Per View (PPV) at 9:30pm on January 10, 2013 in Tamil, Telugu & Hindi.
“We are proud to launch yet another industry first on Airtel DTH providing customers in the country an innovative opportunity to enjoy the movie before its theatrical release. he premiering of Kamal Haasan's new movie 'Vishwaroopam/Vishwaroop' first on direct-to-home (DTH) platform may not happen on January 10 as Rajkamal Films has postponed the release date, say DTH operators.
"We have a communication (from Rajkamal Films) about the postponement of movie release on DTH platform and in theatres," Salil Kapoor, COO, Dish TV told IANS.
"In line with the postponement of the release date of the movie 'Vishwaroopam (Tamil and Telugu)/Vishwaroop (Hindi)' across theatres and on the DTH platform by Rajkamal Films, we have stopped taking bookings for the movie premiere that was scheduled for Jan 10, 2013 at 9:30 pm on Airtel DTH," Shashi Arora, CEO-DTH/Media, Bharti Airtel was quoted as saying in a statement issued by the company.
The theatre release which was to happen Jan 11 too stands postponed and the revised dates are yet to be announced by Rajkamal Films.
Queried about the money paid by the subscribers to watch the movie Jan 10, Kapoor said: "We will go by what our customer want us to do. If they want a refund, we will refund the money."
Queried whether Dish TV would be able to get compensation from Rajkamal Films for the money it spent on promoting the movie, Kapoor said: "The release of the movie has been postponed and nothing else has happened."
Both Airtel and Dish TV are silent on the number of bookings they have got for the movie.
