i am using BSNL DATAONE with D-Link glb 502t . the modem setting is done in the bridge mode, and connection is established through win XP pppoe dailer. i am able to surf but when i click a download link it dos`nt download. tried opera & Internet Explorer. even the download manager is not able to download the file fully. CAN ANYBODY PLEASE HELP

are you downloading from file hosting sites ( for e.g. link-removed / link-removed ) . or ingeneral you cannot download any file ? howmuch (%) you are able to download ; do you get any error messages ?

if the webpage has many graphics, some of it new load. similarly when i click a download link in a website the file downloading starts but suddenly stops after a few 10-15 Kb`s . i am not able to find a solution. please help

^ are you able to surf continuously without any problems ? can you try Firefox with flashgot extension and a downloading manager (flashget)

i am able to browse but some pages do not load completely ,ie, till the last graphic image. i think something blocking the data flow. for example when i try to download a winamp plugin , it always goes to www.winamp.com . tried do download at least 1 plugin but it just goes to the winamp homepage. And with flashget all the 9 jet of the 10 jet works. Only the first jet does not do its job, the rest of the 9 jets completes downloading it section of the file.

CAN YOU HELP

^ sorry friend , at present I am unable to find a solution for this problem . I suggest that use only 4 jets (not > 4) in flashget .It will not slow down the downloading process andthe downloads should complete without any problems .

Hi dude. this is problem in bsnl exchange at your area. I was also facing the same problem it got ok after 2 days of struglling. As of now the same problem has started again all over chandigarh here (confirmed with frnds).

hhhmm next i would check my line.. post ur snr and attenuation here.. most of the problems with dataone result from poor line quality.. as a last resort, i would try some other dns servers 🙄

this could be:a) Something wrong with the phone line- do you hear disturbance on the phone line while online or offline? call up BSNL have check the lines.B) spyware/malware/well basically malicious software eating up bandwidth - what antivirus are you using? start your computer in safe mode run you antivirus & antispyware software see if the detect something...also try using safe mode with networking(XP) see if the connection works any better.do post back ... cheers

finally figured out the problem. it was all due to the wrong setting used in the bios. i was using the settting "load bios default" and instead of "load setup defaults"" , now my D-Link modem is working very well.

Oh no... I am having this problem right now. Can anyone help please. I just feel like, I need to shout out of my house's windows for "HELP".

SOMEBODY PLEASE HELLLLLPPPPPPPPPPP!!!

Whatever think I click can't be downloaded. be it an EXE or MP3 or an AVI. Nothing is getting downloaded. Like NEWGUY said, the first jet or stream is not working in the download accelerators.

I don't think resetting the BIOS settings to default would solve this problem. I even tried that but having this crazy problem. Can't figure out what the problem is. I even re-installed my XP and that was a lot of time put to waste coz the problem still persists...
