Mtnl Caps Download + Upload ?

MTNL 512 combo unlm + TATA 1 Mbps UNLM
Mtnl gives 256 download speed and 256 upload speed, But does it also caps the download + upload to 256? Or you can download and upload @ 256 at same time?
 
Download and upload simultaneously ,I get 22 KB/s download and 14-26 Upload speed.
 
so mtnl does not give the full 32+32 kBps simultaneously ??Well ok, keeping in mind the line losses, etc - do users of mtnl unlimited get maybe 30+30 kBps ?? If yes, then please post the download & upload statistics for an entire month - I wonder if you guys get 60 GB down + 60 GB up ??I'm very interested to see replies...because mtnl unlimited is the only option once it comes to Bombay by the end of next year.

Thats what I am trying to find through this thread, Humtum did say he gets it simutaneously but he should be getting better speeds?
 
Hey man i am just half kilometer away from exchange .The speed mention above is for torrents.On http i get around 26 KB/s Constant!On 256 kbps connection normally most of them get this speed.
 
I from delhi I get downwload -- 25Kbps and upload -- 26Kbps for torrentwhile http browsing & download I get constant 30 Kbps
 

almost same here.But for the past month I think my speed has dropped.I used to get 32-34KBps, now its 29-30.Torrents while uploading and dowloading i get 25-28 and uploading 18-22
 
I am abt 1 km away from exchange and get about 26-27k.MTNL website says upload would be same as download or max 512k.both are separately capped.
