Problem with ICICI Bank

I am working as a Software Engineer for about 8+ years and very much dependent on the salary bank account for all the transactions.From the beginning I had unlimited Transaction on my ATM card for cash retrieval from any Bank ATM without any charges.I has used ICICI, HDFC & Citibank with these features.Now my present company has forced to use ICICI account (Which I dont like).Now ICICI says that in non-ICICI bank ATMs, more than 5 transactions will be charged (just like a normal account in any bank) which is ridiculous. One CC/Bank representative says am in Privilege Banking, other says I am not. I have a good salary and FDs with the bank but still I am told that I do not satisfy their conditions which are not properly explained.My question is, Is not Salary Bank given more privileges on any bank? Is ICICI bank misbehaving in my case?Further I perform 30-40 online transactions per month on average, which are free for salary accounts, thankfully ICICI bank doe snot charge for it. I cannot use other bank accounts since the transaction charges will be too high for the no of transactions.Is there any solution for this?Sample this: I have been to some ICICI ATMs which do not have power back up and wont work on any power cut, its so pathetic sometimes.
 
If they admit that there is a technical issue, there is no way they can ask you to get it from the beneficiary - they are the ones who have to do it. If they don't help, complain to the Nodal officer, and if even that doesn't work, approach the banking ombudsman.
 
You can complain to RBI.
 
Their system is ****ed up.My dad got a new credit card because his old one expired, when using it the first time online I had to enter the DOB and OTP etc., I did but it said that it was invalid, i did it twice and the card was blocked. On calling, they said that the DOB on their records was incorrect(This card has been working fine since 2003). Ok. When asked to update, they kept me on hold for 30 minutes and then said that their system wasnt working. This was on Friday. The same thing on Monday and the same thing today as well. Apparently they cant unblock the card because their 'system' isn't working.
 
How do we get the nodal officer email? I would definitely do that.Further I have noticed that there are couple of transactions which I have not done in my ICICI credit card but are present in this month statement. Seems they are some transactions for android app which I never purchased, its not present in my Google wallet too. I need to call them for this too 🙁
 
As far as specific to Credit cards are concerned they cannot expect you to make purchases. However they can tell you that their policy is that they would send back a cheque if money is dormant for specified days... Thats as per my old knowledge. Not sure if anything is changed.

The customer care says that I should contact Google for details and If I need to raise a dispute, the card will be blocked for 91 days 🙁

Google wallet does not report of any transaction, nor did I do any such transaction, so where from did they come?

Seems I need to stop all transaction from ICICI, totally fed up
 
May be this card number had been issued to any other person before you. So in their google wallet this card information is still store. Or some one internationally use your card for purchasing. In that case you can apply for charge back with your bank and money will be refunded after some period. You need to visit your bank for charge back procedure.

My problem is that I generally make transaction of around 60k per month, most of them being 10k+ transactions. What if this happens again, how do I get the money?

What is the solution for this?

Ensure that you have lodged a formal complaint and got a complaint number. Keep pestering them for the solution. Don't bother to get the funds from the beneficiary, you are not at fault. Ask for compensation and interest for the period that the funds were wrongly debited from your account.

If the problem is not resolved in a months time, write to banking ombudsman (search internet for that). Any bank will be brought to their knees by the ombudsman.

I made HDFC Bank pay me my money back with interest when they goofed up my car loan; using ombudsman.

Card numbers are not like phone numbers. A card number issued to one person is NEVER given to another person. The problem should be somewhere else.

If you have not done the transaction, then you should be able to raise a chargeback. Insist on that and keep records by raising formal complaints. Again, if they don't resolve within a month, write to ombudsman.
 
got the link through a mailer. sadly they would never know how much i hate their website.
