Skynet is the cable provider giving broadband at very good speeds and low cost in HSR. I have been using the same from the last 7 months without any issues.
Would recommend to go for the same, the speeds are good, pings are low and ideal for gaming. They charge Rs 999 + tax for 10Mbps connection and speed is really good.
On an average i get upto 8 Mbps download speed most of the time.

Details given below :

I have been staying in Bangalore's HSR layout since the last 6 years. I was staying in Sector-2 for two years where I was using Tata Indicom Broadband. Then I moved to an apartment where we had airtel broadband, for two years. Now I have moved to a sector-3, near the HSR Club in HSR Layout and my hunt for a new broadband connection has been an utter tragedy.I first went to airtel, who, within 3 days, told me that there is no feasibility for connection in the area. I then, with a lot of hopes, went to the telephone exchange where I was told that there is no feasibility for connection in the HSR Layout area as BBMP has not allowed BSNL to dig up the area for laying new cables. Next I went to Tata Indicom, who took 10 days to tell me that there is no technical feasibility in the area to provide a new connection.I am left completely baffled at this. I am staying in a prime location in HSR Layout only to find that there is no way I can get broadband?I am left with very few options now. For now, I am using an USB dongle (Reliance Netconnect). There are advertisement bills stick on electric poles for Tikona Broadband and TTN broadband. I have googled about Tikona and TTN and my perception is that they are a waste of money and time. The only option left is to go for the latest and overpriced Airtel LTE 4G broadband. Equipment for it alone costs Rs.8000 and I am not in a mood to spend that much amount (Airtel representative who sells LTE told me that it's the stuff for people who own Audi and Benz). Can someone here please suggest me something? I use moderate downloading (Maybe 10-12 GB per month?) and I have always had broadband. i don't know what to do as i am going to stay in this new house for at least a year. Please advice!
Hi Adityeah,
My problem is same as yours, i have to a new house near HSR club and inquired almost all ISP's.The answer was no technical feasibility. I hope you would have got an broadband connection by now. It would be great if you could help me to choose the broadband in that area.
Thanks,

Oh man! Skynet? Im gonna check that out just cos of the name 😛leasantry: LOL. T-5 is coming out next year 😛
Will give them a call, thanks a ton!
But how is TTN? Any takers? Hathway cable guy says he will give me TTN net, so it seems like they are strongarming their way into HSR.
Also I know that there was a post a couple of years back on BSNL data cards, but to ANYONE reading this, deal with BSNL only if you like dealing with government offices. I haven't had a single pleasant experience with ANY of their services, same with Reliance.
Sadly yeah Airtel doesn't have permission to dig and place their boxes around the place, but they are the most reliable.

I have been using TTNBroadband 15Mbps plan for the past two months. So far it's been pretty good. Even if there are any issues, the customer support fixes it pretty fast. I get 2Mbps uplink and 15Mbps downlink untill I hit the FUP (50GB). After the FUP, I get 1Mbps downlink and 1Mbps downlink. I pay the bills online, which is pretty convenient. I live in HSR 2nd sector. I initially started with 10Mbps plan (for one month) and later upgraded to 15Mbps plan. I was able to do the plan migration online through their portal. I paid Rs:675/- as one time installation fee. The monthly fee for the 15Mbps plan is Rs:1235/- (including tax)

Speedtest to San Jose from Bangalore over TTN

Speedtest post FUP

Well i have upgraded now from 10 Mbps to 50 Mbps speeds.I am using Hathway Docsis 3.0.
Rs 4500 for 3 months, 50 Mbps download speeds with 40 gb limit.

That shiny airtel 4G modem costs 2.5-3k here in Pune. But he's right about it to compare it with likes of Audi & Benz as it's unreliable. My friend's modem plyed it dead in just 2 months. Since last two weeks it's at airtel, they gave temp replacement but it doesn't support sim card. So he's out of net and still have to pay full rent. Cool.
