google has not even confirmed the name jelly bean yet. and you are talking about confirmation of jb to be a tablet only update. they merged honeycomb and gingerbread for a reason so that they can have a unified update in the future. why would google release an update specifically for tablets when they have a unified OS for both the platforms?
site:android.com jelly bean - Google Search the entire android.com has no reference to jelly bean edition of android. everything being mentioned here is just rumor. though a tablet from google is pretty much confirmed. Asus is said to be manufacturing it for them.

you are again missing the point. there has been absolutely no confirmation till now. though there are few reasons to doubt the reports about a google tablet from Asus. and there has been no indication if JB would only for tablets. rumors have also claimed that jb would merge android with chrome os. but until it is confirmed, you cannot claim that it is going to happen.
