hmm. where do i get nook in india? 😕
I was fortunate to have a cousin flying down. Am not sure how else you can procure one. But try and figure it out. All the research I did and reviews I read, it seems that nooks is the best one to go for.
Also based on everything I read about ereaders, it seems that you get locked down to the ecosystem of the manufacturer you choose. So books from Amazon won't run on the nook and vice versa. Apparently you can only buy books for your reader from its manufacturers store. But due to certain laws as an Indian we can't buy books from Amazon or the B&N store. To do that you will need an American credit card. Indian no are rejected. So you are left with the gutenberg books or you'll have to torrent them. B&N is so evil it won't let you boot the nook unless you have a B&N account. And you can't create a B&N account without a CC no. So i was sitting with my device for a day unable to use it. Finally found a work around online and it works fine. Its a simple straightforward thing to by pass the initial screen.
