The Curious Case of MNP !!

I applied for MNP on 12/May, i want to PORT OUT from IDEA and PORT IN in Airtel. On 14th May i got a message form 1901 that today at 10:30pm your porting application will be processed. And on Midnight of 15th May, I got 70 Messages from Airtel on my IDEA sim that you have ported successfully and etc .

NOW the case is that my both sims are active and i can make call from both sims. Send SMS from both SIMS, but cant receive call on IDEA's sim

Did anything like this happens with someone here also?

^ Amazing case! but beware..using 2 sim for one number is illegal i guess.

BTW..from which SIM balance is being deducted? 🤔

But wat can i do.?? i have called CC many times but they r the DUMBEST people on earth.No If we call from Airtel SIM balance got deducted from AIRTEL and same for IDEA.

Whats the update... Please let us know.

The other SIM (IDEA) isn't working anymore..

Number of such issue was high when MNP was launched , but I am surprised that it happened with you just 2 months back also. Day before Yesterday only I ported out from Reliance to Vodafone and it was a smooth transition . I had gt the message of successful PORT in from Vodafone on Friday night. But was surprised to notice that my Reliance Services were working till afternoon. So, I decided to visit Vodafone Store as I was also in need of micro sim for my new handset. So, before going to Store , I thought of checking Vodafone Sim card. I inserted the new vodafone sim card and found it was working. Then I was surprised that how came both the Sims are working . But when I later on checked the Reliance Sim Card, it was no more active. I hope your issue is solved now.

most people don;t even know that even after getting over with the hectic mnp procedure .....if anyone tries to call u on your new ported no. from landline it will keep giving u beeps for 3min until it finally connects and if someone is not picking up and u have to call him/her again u got to again wait for 3min till it connects really annoying...and weird too....

Great. I noticed sometime back that my MNPed number outgoing is not working which was working till yesterday afternoon before SIM swap. Another day to run behind Vodafone store. :banghead:

Wonder why its happening to other.. I've swaped my 6 sim to here and there. Never faced such problem. Only idea postpaid to prepaid migration was heptic last time and it was due to 1 sms required to send by the idea guy to activate that prepaid number after that all was smoother.
