Can anyone advice on Spectranet or Hathway in Bangalore?

Spectranet doesn't actually provide internet to you directly. Instead, they partner up with your local cable wallah who puts and maintains a network of ethernet cables. I think specranet has excellent uptime(>95%) however, you'll find your uptime to be ~80% because of the dozens of signal boosters that operate between your cable wallahs office and your house. If one of these boxes is switched off then all the rest in forward will stop working. The same will be true for hathway.

I am in HSR. TTN provides internet from spectranet and it very good. Very low downtime and I can walk-in in case any problem
 
Can anyone tell me how is the service, downtime, speed etc for Spectranet and Hathway in Bangalore?

Hathway is also good , good ping (lattency), 3-7% down which is pretty good I think.
CC quietly good 6/10.
And last but not least you get the speed they promised.
 

I lived in BTM for 1 year and we got Spectranet and it served us well.We got the 1.5Mbps connection for 1K and downtime was for 12 hours a month. Nothing to worry and the guy was friendly us.It all depends where you live .
 
I think there is no FUP for wireless plan am I right ?

It was 1.5Mbps unlimited. No FUP for downloading and uploading.
 
Don't worry about spectranet. Worry about your cable wallah and his level of cooperation. Those switches in the middle between your house and the cable wallahs office need to be ON all the time. Imagine a guy that gives power to a switch leaves for a vacation and removes his electricity fuse before he leaves.
 
I am using spectranet in bangalore for 1 year. It is good compared to other services. Best thing is the curtomer service. If connection is down , all I need to do is give a call to local cable wala. He comes and correct the problem within an hour. Speed is also good.
 
I am using Spectranet for last 2+ years in Marathahalli. other than occasional downtime, the service is exceptional.Note: VOIP is blocked.
 
i am using spectranet 1mb/s unlimited...i got connection within 1 hour of time aftr giving documents..(i have done lots of speed tests on speedtest.net)Download speed is always up always near to 1mb/s , upload speed is also always near to 1mb/sJust one word "awsome".. i have connected cable to a wifi router and we share broadband wirelesslyMy cable person also helpful
 
uh!!!, well i suppose it even depends on the locality where you stay....none the less good to read the above...infact im planning to get them on-board 🙂
