Hi Everyone!Just wanted to check if there are others facing this issue. From the past couple of days when I try to access link-removed.com, link-removed.com it gives me a "Unable to connect" error. All other sites open normally. Trying to experiment I tried changing the DNS settings from "Obtain DNS Server Address Automatically" to the OpenDNS server settings and restarted the connection I was able to connect. But doing so causes problems with Hathway's Login page. If you got OpenDNS as your DNS the Hathway login page will not open. Is anyone else facing this issue or is something wrong at my end?ISP Hathway, Mumbai

Well, i m on Reliance & when i try to connect to Exdesi, it gives me a message that the site might harm my computer! Dont know if its a gimmick by Reliance!

yes buddy...yest i logged onto my regular sites like link-removed and desitorrents and all of them were blocked...this is a big shocker.....if you use any proxy tunnel site, these sites open up....its outrageous when they have FUP on all plans, why do they need to block torrents....i suggest we all move to providers like mtnl now.....is there some process in TRAI by which we can write to them how can a ISP be blocking sites at will?

^^Not really. There could be two scenarios here:1. They have been asked to block the site(s) by some organization (domestic or International - take your pick, I'm not going to speculate)2. They are receiving too many legal threats from overseas and trying to stem the flow of stupid unenforceable form letters from the US of Aor 3, just for extra luck, they're trying to squeeze even more profit without having to buy more juicy but not exactly cheap bandwidth and the sites mentioned are the "culprits" behind high usage, so making them appear as "down" might curb usage and decongest their network by a couple of percent.

I don't know whether this might help but I installed malwarebytes few days ago and it blocked some torrent sites.

Jaymin bro im too getting same message for exdesi when i open in firefox but when i open exdesi via IE it works just fine .. im on YOU Broadband ...

So i think for Exdesi theres some genuine issue. But as long as i access it from Linux, i think i can get away without infecting my machine! And on topic - All 3 are working for me.

YES- I am using Hathway ISP and I cannot connect to sites like Desitorrents, link-removed, Mastitorrents. I am getting error "Unable to Connect". Tried all browsers still not able to connect. SHIT!!!!!Can anyone tell me the way to connect to these sites? I am missing these sites. 🙁

Using proxies. That is being discussed in the first post as well i guess. But that surely isnt the recommended way!

HI ,

I am from Bangalore, today I have got a mail from hathway help desk stating that they were forced to block all torrent sites following an order from chennai High court. Is this correct ? I didn't get any reference of that fact in google. Now, I am thinking of going with some other ISP.

Can anyone tell me whether their justification is valid one ?

thanks,
Rajib
