I would like to know static Ip since i have got static ip from Mtnl which i applied for. My purpose is to make my office pc server so that i can access from Home. I have asked some persons they told you need to have static ip & after configuraing you can access your office pc from home Via Microsoft Remote Desktop Connection. Now i would like to know how can i configure? I am on Mtnl 999 Unlimited plan & i am currently using A212 Modem from Mtnl. My static ip starts from 120.XX.XX.XXWaiting for your reply guys.

I guess TeamViewer is the best software for accessing PCs remotely..

MUKUL i know about teamviewer in that we need to give access i am saying about remote desktop connection

some configurations given on their websitehxxx://mtnlmumbai.in/index.php/broadband/triband-adsl/user-guidego through this you may get help..

1. Assign a local static IP to your PC which is same as your router and it's internal home network.2. In your router, forward the required port and associate the static IP assigned to your PC.3. Any generic remote desktop software will ask for your static IP followed by port. These two things enable your router to forward all requests to your PC.I use similar setup to view all the security cameras installed on my phone.
