Ganguly should stop playing cricket. He is one of India's greatest batsmen and one of the best captains too but why to struggle to bat at this age.at least sometimes the players need to think about legacy
 
Feel, this will be the last year - But why only question him.. There are dozens of others (retired folks) who continue to play - But hey, this is a commercial tournament, so its upto the owners - And he is in Pune team, only cos of Yuvraj & Pune needed him to lead the team in Yuvraj's absense. Wont be surprised, if he does step down after this year.Gilchrist, Hogg, Warne, Jayasuriya, Hayden are just some of the players who are/were playing even though they are too old.
 
Mumbai won by 1 run. Ganguly is now becoming a serious liability from being just a liability.
 
weird. i read articles on how he was doing a great job of captaining and was winning matches 😀
 
Serious 😛 ? his captaincy is fine, if he can also bat at no.7 instead of 3, it may work out
 

don't expect flourish batting from him . today he just didn't want to repeat the mistake sachin had done earlier . he wanted to stay at the middle as long as possible to guid the team to win as it was surely a graveyard for batsmen ( bowler like nehra took 2 wickets and gave away 19 runs ..LOL )!. however that didn't pay off in the end . I wonder why BCCI doesn't care much that some venues ( Pune , kolkata and others as well I think )have worst pitches ? all in all cricket is a money making system for 'em !! don't be surprised if India gets owned overseas .

According to the police, Ashwin went to Escobar on Monday night and was having drinks. He asked the staff to bring some more alcohol which they refused citing 1:30 am deadline.
Enraged Ashwin and his friend started arguing with the waiters and refused to pay the bill until their order was accepted.
"When the staff refused, the duo assaulted them. The bar staff notified police when our men went there. When asked to pay the bill and leave the bar, the furious duo punched one of our constables," said DCP Pratap Digaonkar.
"They two were taken into custody and booked under relevant sections of the IPC for assaulting and preventing a public servant from discharging his duty," Digaokar added. The duo was on Tuesday produced before a court which granted them bail, he said.
40-year-old Ashwin and his friend Avi Krishnamurthy had spent the night in Bandra police station's lock-up and were produced before a local court which granted them bail on Tuesday.
According to sources, while talking rudely to the staff and cops, Ashwin stated he was very influential and from a rich family.
When contacted, Srinivasan, who owns the IPL team Chennai Super Kings, shot back saying "What do you want me to say," and disconnected the phone call.
 
Rajasthan Royals was bought for a small money when compared to RCB or Mumbai Indians. I Guess Kings XI Punjab was the cheapest team. They would make a good profit if they sell it. BTW what happened?: There was some problem about ownership of these two teams? So the IPL Executives had removed them from Season 4. But both the team brought a stay order from Supreme Court.Another thing, the rating of IPL has come down, that makes me feel that they would not make an hefty amount selling the team. Cricket round the year has made IPL's rating go down.Edit: Whats TVR? I've heard only of TRPs.
 
It seems like it's difficult days for SET MAX. No one would love watching cricket all round the year. I would kindly suggest BCCI to stop making greedy money, and lower the number of matches that Indian Team/Cricketers play.
 
Future of IPL is in danger because there are various reports which suggest that DLF is not in mood to renew another five contract with IPL. DLF is title sponsor of IPL and their contract ends in current 2012. They purchased the five years rights in Rs. 200 crore but decreasing popularity, another plans of investments & nobody in media or fans bothering it to call as the "DLF" IPL becoming majors factors for their deteriorating interest.

Lol, they want the public to call IPL as "DLF" IPL. they should start finding a sponsor for BCCI like "AMUL BCCI", "Karbonn Mobile Team India" So on.
 
Yesterday i was wishing PW beating MI but i didnt post it over here...hence MI won the match.Today i dont want to do the same mistake so i wish to see CSK winning their match against DC...
