Hi Guys,

I am planning for a new mobile phone in the mid range segment, between 8000-13000. Looking for a new released phone with better hardware and battery.

I guess in Android, Galaxy Y is an option. But it is not gud.

Lumia is around 16k , out of budget.

Any phone you can suggest, or any phone in future in this segment

one gud option is Sony Ericsson Live with Walkman - Full phone specifications

Since you mentioned Lumia, I assume you meant the 710. And it is definitely in your budget.

lumia 710 | eBay

14500 on eBay and apply a 10% discount, you get it for 13050. Let me know if you need the coupon. Applicable only till 13th.

I have also seen the SE Live with Walkman. My personal impression is that it is good for girls. It is diminutive, but also bulky. Low specd Androids are best avoided

you can forget about adobe flash because the company has officially discarded mobile flash editions.

Just noticed that Dell Venue Pro has dropped to 15490 😕

----------

Was launched in Feb'11 for 35K ....

Yeah - Even I would not recommend it as such unless the QWERTY thing interests you.. But, like I said it makes me wonder why do such companies price themselves out of sales.. I agree that by pricing higher they are able to make more profits initially when it launches, But say 25k at launch & 20k after 6 months seems more valid ...would yield them more sales & profits in the long run... But what does this kind of pricing help them, I simply fail to understand.

Dell never took the indian mobile market seriously. they played around with it. and from what i see, they have pretty much given up. indian mobile market is not a niche one where you can launch one or two models and get a good response.

I wanted to buy a Dell streak before Samsung Galaxy S. Unfortunately it was priced too high in India. Thank God I did not buy it then...

Anyways are there any new phones from Nokia in sometime?

Omnia seems to be gud but no memory card is a big issue for me. I think I can wait some more time for a better phone...

The Lumia 800 is available (after discount coupon) for 19790 on eBay. Again an excellent buy at that price. However, since you seem to be particular about extra memory, that wouldn't help either. If you aren't in a hurry, you might as well save up some more over the next couple of months or so and get the Galaxy S Advance.

Nokia Lumia 900 should get a variant in India.
I am not too sure about this one. Would be good if it happens. It was initially supposed to be a US only model - a larger Lumia 800 running on LTE to be precise. They later included Europe into the mix. There is a slight possibility for the device to arrive in India, though I do not see any major difference apart from the larger screen (and effectively lower ppi as the resolution is the same). I plan to get this from the US if I find a good deal though.

Why don't you go for Sony Ericsson Xperia Mini Pro? Its a wonderful product for less than 14K. My cousin has it and its superb.
