I think you have recharged 2g pack on 3g activated sim ....Am i right ? i get same 40kbps on 3g mode........if i select only 2g mode, i get speeds between 180-220kbps.....i enjoyed 3g speeds on 2g packs for the last 8 months but now they have restricted speeds to 40kbps , only for those who activate gprs packs like 98rs on 3g activated sim.

If you have a 3G activated sim and you charge a GPRS 2G data pack, they make sure nowadays you dont want to choose HSDPA network with your data card set in "3G only mode".It will connect in HSDPA ,Ping will be around 130-150 (instead of usual 300-500 for Edge) but download speed capped between 40-80 kbps.Just choose "Edge/Gprs only" mode in your data card. you may get 120-220 kbps depending upon no of users /signal strength.Free 3G days are over. :secret:
