Hi Everyone,

I came across this amazing yet simple device called (Kill-a-watt) which measures the electricity consumption of any gadget you own. The device is plugged into the supply and you can plug it in the gadet to it and it displays the power consumption.

Anyone have this in India? The one available in the US might not work in the 240V voltage here.

I thought of buying this kind of gadget long ago. But it was 1500bucks, which in my opinion not so worth. But, it will be really good if you can make one by yourself.

seems to be available on both ebay and junglee.

Junglee: Kill-a-watt

eBay: Kill-a-watt

Thanks Chromaniac. I did a search but got all international site. Will check out Junglee's deals as the 980 rupees one sounds good.

I am not a EEE guy so dont know much about making one on my own, but there is a model available for 1000 bucks which is a good deal IMO. Also the long term savings might be worth it, provided the device runs for 2-3 years
