i donno what is happening to indian online markets.:Read:

Have only used eBay successfully. Other good options are olx and sulekha, but painfully slow. eBay it is for me.

Hello Guys,This is Srikanth working with PriceShred. We aren't a classified website like ebay/olx/sulekha. We directly buy second hand mobiles from the customers and also sell second hand mobiles. We also pick-up the phone free of cost from your place. And as soon as you sell your mobile you would be getting a receipt as a proof of transaction. Hope your doubts are cleared 🙂

one question that always came to my mind. how does one handle the security aspect while selling a phone? i mean the phone is sold to you. and if it ends up in the hands of bad bad people... how do I prove that I had sold the phone and it is no longer owned by me?

We take care completely of the security issue. As, we re-sell the phone only after completely wiping out the old data and refurbishing. So, as a company we take the total responsibility of your phone 🙂

my query was more about proof of sale. what kind of documentation you provide to the seller that he has indeed sold the said phone. basically, i am talking about a scenario that your phone ends up in the hands of ahem terrorists who use it for terror activities. government tracks down the phone's IMEI number and links it to you. 😛

Can you be more clear pls? I mean are you asking what is the proof that the phone people sell doesn't land up in the hands of terrorists or what is it?

i am just asking... suppose, i decide to sell my phone through you. what documentation you would give me that i can keep with me just in case to prove that i had indeed sold the phone on this date. basically to save my ass in case the phone ends up getting used for terror activities! the thing is that i have never sold my phone through an online service. the only phone i sold ever was to a friend which was a safe decision. but i am shit scared of selling a phone to a random stranger on the web because of above mentioned reasons! 😀

Yeah, as already mentioned. As soon as you sell your phone, you would be getting a receipt to your mail from our mail id. So this saves you from everything 🙂

cool. i hope people are careful enough to sell their phones through classified services!

Alrite guys!! any other questions just ping me 🙂. Off to other works now. Hope you guys try us out and I can promise you a hassle-free experience 🙂

Okey, I have a question. What if I give my phone to PriceShred and they replace couple of parts and then return me the phone giving the reason as the phone is not working well. Do PriceShred provide any details regarding the condition of the phone while taking the phone from the customer?
