Hi,I am thinking of getting an AIRTEL 16 MBPS plan, which is for my official purposes. I'll be based in Indirapuram, Ghaziabad.I'd like to know what is the general download and upload speed on this 16MBPS plan when we connect with DELHI server. Your feedback will be greatly appreciated. Thanks,Syed Raza

16Mbps? Which plan is that?Anyway, assuming that it's a commercial plan, your mileage may vary. On a 4Mbps connections, the experience I have is that downloads for the most part (HTTP and torrents) are satisfactory - I get between 400 - 560 KB/s). BUT video streaming is pathetic (200Kbps to 1Mbps max). I suspect (like others) that they are doing some traffic shaping etc. so as to reduce the speed of videos which is straight up bulls***. As for regular browsing, YMMV. Most sites work fine loading between 3 -4 Mbps. But some load at 1-2 Mbps as well. Online gaming is straight up sh*tty - pings are between 200 to 600ms.Upload speeds are restricted to 1Mbps - generally one would get around 800Kbps.So what does this mean? Depends on your usage. I suspect if you don't have too many people sharing the connection, 4Mbps may be sufficient for you.

Airtel has a 16mbps plan. Rs. 4999 for 100GB. After that it's 40 paisa per MB 😀Also, it is unlikely to be available in all areas as they need to have good quality copper in the area. They took a while to offer me 4mbps in my sector.

I liked the plan but not in 4999.

It's a brilliant plan. My dad has it for his office use and I've tested it out many times and it gives minimum of 14 mbps. It's great. Slightly high priced but totally worth it.

so it is worth it to pay 50 rupees per GB of data transfer? wow.

Yes. It's called South Corporate 4999.

can get me link :loser:

They still struggle to offer 4 mbps in many areas
True. You would have to check with them for availability in your area.

can get me link :loser:
Airtel Customer Care sent me the plan details over an email in December.

I suggest you contact them for the latest details.

The link below also has the details but Airtel *might* have changed something.
