16Mbps? Which plan is that?Anyway, assuming that it's a commercial plan, your mileage may vary. On a 4Mbps connections, the experience I have is that downloads for the most part (HTTP and torrents) are satisfactory - I get between 400 - 560 KB/s). BUT video streaming is pathetic (200Kbps to 1Mbps max). I suspect (like others) that they are doing some traffic shaping etc. so as to reduce the speed of videos which is straight up bulls***. As for regular browsing, YMMV. Most sites work fine loading between 3 -4 Mbps. But some load at 1-2 Mbps as well. Online gaming is straight up sh*tty - pings are between 200 to 600ms.Upload speeds are restricted to 1Mbps - generally one would get around 800Kbps.So what does this mean? Depends on your usage. I suspect if you don't have too many people sharing the connection, 4Mbps may be sufficient for you.
