i'm guhan residing in pallikaranai, chennai.i'm planning to buy airtel broadband connection .How about the speed in pallikaranai?........My friends in T Nagar are using airtel broadband. They are getting a max speed around 1 MBPS....Please help me whether to proceed with airtel or not...Thanks in advance.

Your friends at T. Nagar should easily get a max. speed of 4 mbps. You should check with Airtel if there's service in your area. If they do, you could easily get 2-4 mbps speeds.You check out the plans on their website and see if you like them for the price.

I don't Want you to Go with Failtel. Go through the Airtel threads on this forum and you would Definitely apologize after paying for the connection. Check If Reliance is available in your locality. If yes you can Go with Freedom 999 Which Gives 12mbps up to 25Gigs and 1Mbps unlimited.please call 1800-3000-7777 toll-free.

Audioslave, tbh, bharti support is way way better than reliance. FUP excluding, reliance has nothing going for it. Heck I'd even recommend bsnl over reliance . The reliance section too is full of sob stories.

Failtel Support is Good When compared to Rel or BSNL. But Do you like the way they are Dealing? More to Go!

The problem I think is Airtel and BSNL are the only decent options in Chennai. I think Airtel has better plans than BSNL at the moment.

If the new plans from bsnl are implemented from 1st Feb, bsnl's plans would be better.

Airtel does not have connectivity in Pallikaranai. I have recently shifted from Triplicane to Pallikaranai. In Triplicane I had been using Airtel Broadband from last three years without any issue. At last while my shift of connection from Triplicane to Pallikaranai was put on rest due to lack of Airtel connectivity in this area then I had called customer support and requested that – I am willing to find some wireless connectivity if Airtel can confirm that as when connectivity will be available in Pallikaranai – I willing to pay free for next three month? I had simple honest answer – “sorry sir, cannot confirm you this”. I had taken Airtel DSL plan 799-unlimited-512mbps-100/- monthly free call. Later I had activated 100 Top Up for 1mbps speed. Last year somewhere in June automatically they increased my speed to 2mbps. In a day I used to get around 1.9mbps to 2mbps however in night always more than 2 mbps. Serious I am telling you guys that I could have known to Airtel connectivity issue in this area I would not have take flat in Pallikaranai. Huge loss for me.
From last 5 years I am using Airtel service and have absolutely complete satisfaction. I am using all almost all the offered service from Airtel and have no issue at all.
I do not know why other user using name failtel because for me this Best and Best and SuperbTell.
In last three years I got Airtel technical person only two time at my home -1) My line was broken by temple yatraa Rathh. 2) My modem was having some technical malfunction.
I love Aitel.
Dear ALL please help me to get a good broadband connection in Pallikaranai Chennai. I bit confussed as only two service provider available in this area -1) Reliance 2) BSNL. I do not want to go ahead with reliance because of Anil Ambani and BSNL is government care less company.
Please help me as I can live with water and food can not live without broadband connection.
My requirement is
Speed – Minimum 1 MBPS
Data – Minimum Unlimited
Monthly bill – Not more than 1100.

bsnl has changed a lot in the past years. As far as your requirements go, only a local cable operator can offer the plans you need. Reliance does have the 999 plan, but enquire extensively about rcom in your neighbourhood before giving your mobey to them.

BSNL is decent in Pallikaranai... But you would only get a FUP-based plan for that budget... Reliance - You can see my signature...

So are suggesting me to get reliance because it has really good freedom 999 plan where speed is like sweet dream 12mbps and data 25gb after that 1 mbps - Bill Limit to 999 + 12.50% ST = 1000+125 = 1125 . 100% coming in my budget. Please share your experience with reliance broadband in Pallikaranai Chennai.

Actually x720 got it right... Reliance experience varies area to area.. I have not used Reliance in Pallikaranai, but did not have good experience where I have used it, wheras raj2007 (another user here @ IBF) says his experience has been pretty good.Bottomline, Reliance has the "plan" you want, service wise they are inconsistent, so you need to check your neighbours & stuff perhaps.BSNL does not have the plan you want, but their service has been quite decent in Pallikaranai.
