those who have IN CABLE as their cable operator can post their experiences here.

Since December 2011 INCABLE was showing a message regarding the govt notification about the signals being switched off ie it will be digital mode from June 2012.

coz of this compulsory switchover, i got a STB installed from INCABLE. now i have come to know that this wont happen in MUMBAI.

has any one got information about this news. will it or not happen in Mumbai or other metros.

also how much MONEY have u spent for your INCABLE SET TOP BOX.
 
yes complete cable digitization will happen in the mertos by 31june 2012. In dec 2011 parliment passed the cable tv digitization bill.so it is compulsory for the metros to go digital. Well other cities will have to go digital by 31 dec 2014. So good u switched to digital.
 
can anyone post the channel list of in cable mumbai (latest). And also post the details of frequency, symbol rate and qam.
 
Not sure if they will give for free. But they will surely reduce the prices of the set top box as more people will be able to buy. As for those who will not buy the STB will have to switch to DTH as Analoge (normal) cable will be switched off.Here is the sun set date time table as per Ministry of Information and Broadcasting and TRAI.Phase Area DatePhase 1 :- Four Metros of Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai and Kolkata 31st june 2012Phase 2 :- Cities with population with more than 1 million 31st march 2013Phase 3 :- All urban areas (muncipal corp/ muncipalities) 30th september 2014Phase 4 :- Rest of India 31st december 2014
 

I have recently got the IN Cable set top box and got 222 channels and some radio channels.Also when i done the signal test on stb for different frequencies i got :Quality : 27%Intensity : 63%I just want to know what signal level do other users get and also the channels ?Is IN cable going to launch HD channels ?

which area of mumbai are u from. how much total money u paid for the STB. i have got 198 TV channels + 16 radio channels. yesterday i saw some HD channels appearing in the list. but when i clicked, it showed me bad or no signal.

are u getting TV9 Maharashtra, mtunes, local cable channels on your STB.

how did u do the signal test. can u post a picture of your INCABLE STB. i have the MPEG2 box silver colour.

I get INDIGITAL CLASSIC, CVO, INDIGITAL MUSIC their local channels(which are of no use) but there are 8 local movie channels which are inactive i think and 1 live feed channel which shows any live event on it .
I too have the silver box named DVB-C8080AL PLUS.
For signal test, Go to Menu then Channel Manager then Signal Test , here u will get quality and intensity for different frequencies

where do u stay in mumbai. are u getting the local cable channels on the STB. i am getting around 12 channels named as local movie channel but they are inactive. u can do the setting by deleting all the channels and then again doing an auto scan. i also have th same box as yours. its mpeg2.

yesterday i have got some new channels showing as HD-channel - test but they are inactive.
 
I am staying at Vikhroli.I was earlier getting 12 channels now it shows only 8 local movie channels which are inactive.I didnt find any HD channel test on my stb.Also can u tell me what signal level u got on ur stb?

i checked the signal test - i was getting on diff freq

Quality : 30 - 50%
Intensity : around 60 - 65%


but what are these frequencies of 330MHZ and so on can we change the frequency level or its done by cable operator


for the additional channels - delete the channels and again auto scan them

please check customer support channel number 100 on your STB. they are showing something about the HD STB. also ask your local cable operator for the same.

are u getting more channels on the STB. i still get 198 TV + 16 Radio channels
