A month or two ago, Vodafone discontinued the *225*6# USSD code and started using *111# instead. Two problems with this:

1. The new code (*111#) shows up as a menu with options numbered 1 thru 5. I have to type in 5 and press Send again. Then another menu shows up, where I have to type in 2 and press Send again. Then I have to press Cancel AND then press OK to get rid of this menu thingy. The old code (*225*6#) directly showed my usage, and I simply had to press OK to dismiss the message.

2. I use the USSD Checker widget to keep a tab on my balance, SMS pack and 3G usage. Ever since Vodafone switched to *111#, this widget has been unable to run the new USSD code.

Now call me a lazy bastard, if you will :smile-big:, for not wanting to press a few extra menu buttons, but why did Vodafone discontinue something that worked perfectly and replace it with something that doesn't?

I agree... its such a pain.

I would, if only your form didn't give me this error every single time:
We do not allow use of any special characters!

... without the special characters ...

Then how exactly am I supposed to post the URL of this page in there?

Why this weird restriction? Are these messages delivered to customer service by telegram or morse code, which doesn't support non alphanumeric characters?

try *111*5*2#

*111*5# works (it skips the first menu), but *111*5*2# doesn't work.

Anyway, found another app/widget (called Prepay Widget) that can deal with such USSD codes. Works like a charm.

Is it solved. If not then try*111*2*4#Then Reply with " 2 " .

*111*5*2# Check 3G data plan and remaining data balance.

Not working for me. Says - Supplementary Service error: general error.
