I am an avid follower of this forum .The calcutta telephones manual mentions a switch for mutiuser mode.(http://www.calcuttatelephones.com/dataoneinstall/bb005.html}.Request more details of the switchlikely avaiability .etc as I want to connect a Labtop additionally.thanks

^ pls see : http://www.broadbandforum.co/index.php?showtopic=1126&hl=#

a 8 port hub switch may cost around Rs 850/-
connecting wire is around Rs 150/-

if your modem is on Rent from BSNL , I'd suggest
to opt for MT841 instead of using a switch ...

Thanks for the immediate response.I am one of the users who joined in feb2005 and the modem was an outright purchase.
Pending the provision of switch will it be ok for me to remove the cord from pc and connect to labtop?
thanks

^ it should be possible to connect the modemdirectly to Laptop (if Laptop has the provision) .
