you are again missing the point. junglee is not supporting any of the 'partner' services. they are just working as an aggregation platform. of course services would try to cheat by getting junglee to show lower prices for their stores so that they get more traffic from junglee. the point is to either complain to junglee about bad retailers and get them off their platform. or just get wise and stick to retailers that you trust. of course junglee needs to be more careful and keep an eye on incorrect listings. but to blame junglee for promoting fake low prices is not exactly the right thing to do especially considering the service is in beta. and in case you did not notice, the article on medianama is written by a competing service provider. he has posted his disclaimer.

Okie . Gt it . Bt Amazon messed up things . Here you explained bt who will explain this to rest all people . These guys sud have made life simple .

Amazon are listing 1.2 crore products. some listings are going to be inaccurate. prices change everyday. it is the duty of the retailer to be accurate. and the duty of junglee to quickly act on reports filed by the users of the service. they would probably eventually realize that most retailers are douche bags and put in incorrect information and would probably start blacklisting the bad ones. 🙂 i have not checked if amazon has corrected the mistakes i reported on the day of launch. 🙁

Google Shopping has already been providing the same service for a lot more sellers, but globally, while Amazon is restricting this service to Indian (and Amazon, of course) sellers.

google shopping has country specific versions and it is usually horribly outdated. i end up getting results for rediff and indiatimes stores where the products are mostly discontinued.

junglee at least is likely to stay up to date and keep a control on bad listings. i do not see google doing much moderation on their product search database because it is not a heavily used service.

and worse. it seems to list products on blogs and regular websites as well which are not really selling the products. so it has turned into a product information search engine rather than a online store search engine. 😕 shopping - Google Search

I didn't know Google Shopping was available in India. But yeah, I remember that I stopped using Google Shopping a long time ago when I got some shady website that listed an item. Maybe Google automated the product listing too much.

^^ shouldn't this be worrisome for Junglee then?? Price aggregation services seem to be not taken too seriously here...Personally I find Google shopping one of the best price comparison tools out there. Name any other tool that can do the same.

The site still says "We're in beta". Anyhow when i clicked on a product it tells me to visit the seller website - "bitfang.com". Is this the way they run like ebay or coz of beta?

Amazon is not selling stuff. only a few items are available from their international stores. it is largely a product search engine.
