Hi Friends, I have an old laptop with Windows XP home edition and MS Office XP on it. I often have to read files particularly slides created using the later versions of MS Office such as 2007 and 2010. So how can I convert pptx slides into ppt slides? Is there a free porgram for that? I have found this web site but it is something that I have to use every now and then and it is rather inconvenient to me when I do not have net access. Please guide me thanks.

Download: PowerPoint Viewer 2007 - Microsoft Download Center - Download Details is one option.
installing libreoffice is another option. though it is not going to be perfect. simple powerpoint files should work fine. but complex ones might not open fine.
using google docs is another alternative. considering you are stuck with a real old version of ms office, you should consider switching to libreoffice or google docs fulltime.
