How does YOU broadband work ?

Hi all, How does YOU Broadband Work? I know there will be a Modem in between. How do they connect to the modem. Do they install some ONT box in the premises. Make me understand the Technology used to provide internet. Looking forward for info and clarifications.
 
Black wire comes in the house.It goes to a splitter.Two wires come out.One goes to Router.Other one goes to Phone.I use PC, net working. I feel happy.
 
Been using since August 2011 and im pretty happy with it in terms of speed and stability also its way cheaper than reliance ... I hope it stays this way ...

Apparently YOU sucks here in Hyderabad. It's Worst than LCO.
 
Ok here in Mumbai its pretty decent till now .. I havent had any major issues till now touchwood ... Once My 2 yr old nephew unplugged some wire from the modem and it stopped working and I called CC within 4 - 6 hours engineer was at my place to rectify the issue ...

have you used? Or do you someone who's using? Because I'm thinking about shifting to YOU from BSNL
 
probably not (bad service in Hyderabad). However, I'm sticking with BSNL for now. The YOU CC guy didn't come home at all, which he'd promised a week back.
