The accused had also set up a call centre and employed girls to get in touch with various persons saying that their sites have been shortlisted for setting up cellphone towers. The gang would then send a letter to the victim under the forged letterhead of Aircel stating that they would receive a monthly rent of about Rs 60,000, the police said.
