Airtel 1mbps UL
I'm on the old plan of "Magic@Home Turbo" Which used to give 512kbps during the day and 1mbps during the night. But for the last two days I am getting like 512kbps through out the day. Even when i restart my router after 10 pm it stays at the bloody 512kbps speed.Called Airtel CC and the dumb representative had no clue at all about this plan. He first told me my plan was always 512kbps.. then he said some shitty 15gb FUP was on it? I haven't even downloaded 15gb as of yet and even if i reached 15gb my speed should be 256kbps not 512kbps. Then he was like that he has no clue about this plan?! :anger3:He told me to email 123 somethin... I just hung up on him as that was very annoying.SO i was wondering if this is because of the recent airtel outages happening giving us pathetic speeds and pings. Also whom should i contact regarding this as the CC people are clearly incompetent to handle this. Any help regarding this would be appreciated.

seems like your in Airtel IPTV pack. .
Magic @ Home Turbo1939 channels are provided for a rent of Rs. 1499 per month. Movies worth Rs. 150 for first three months are given. Broadband of speed 512 kbps in day, 1 mbps at night is provided with unlimited data transfer. Value added services like Airtel mail, PC Secure, Speed on Demand and unlimited gaming are also made available.
seems like airtel no longer offer this pack . .so what do it do to existing customers?
Just force them to some shitty plan of their choice(with ridiculous FUP limit) and claim that no plan mentioned by yyou exists!

I would say call CC and disconnect your service. ..their customer retention team will call you back and offer some shitty plan. . .then you ask for your old plan .

But he confirmed the name of plan without even me telling him then he said it was only 512kbps. When i told him there is no such plan listed on site and if there was indeed a 15gb limit on my account, i would have gone for 2mbps with 10gb on my IPTV and he was silent again. His final advice was to just email some higher authorities? Meh i wish i wrote that email down lol I was just too pissed to even listen to him.

As i said earlier. . airtel removed/changed the plan . . .

My billing is same and there is no current plan which states the speeds as 512kbps. Minimum speed on iptv connections is now 2mbps with 10gb FUP and 256kbps after that. But i am not even getting that.

ok call CC and ask them to change your plan to new IPTV plan . . .or blast some angry mails to "Higher authorities" . .and Do try using twitter to complain . .

(posting it here would do no difference to airtel)

haha i will do so later no doubt.. but i am moving out of India next month. So i am feeling lazy.. indeed... i guess that is a bad thing meh

My speeds have been fixed now 🙂 Called airtel CC, the guy had no clue and even insisted that I reached my FUP ? Finally he admitted he had no clue and asked me to contact airtel presence (seriously airtel stop hiring dumb retarded CC reps, who can barely speak in English) Nonetheless i insisted with him to send an Engineer to my place (usually these guys have more knowledge)Luckily for me the engineer was very helpful, he checked the problem and contacted the NOC guys and even spoke to the Senior management and got my problem fixed in 1 day.
