Extremly Poor services of Tata Sky

This has happened to me second time with Tata Sky. first time when i upgraded my account to HD+, i had to wait more than 3 days to get the connection installed at my place while i have paid all the money in advance. Now here since 3rd january, my connection is not working and till today 5th january late evening no one has turned up though i have called up the call-centre for atleast 10 times since then. Every time i have been given a new possible time of engineer visit but nothing has happened.Its ridiculuous. Do we have any remedy for such kind of services??? Can they be booked under Law.I live in Ahmedabad and my name is Manoj Sarin, if Tata Sky people are folowing these kinds of posts, i am having enough proof for their poorest kind of service.

I think there is some MANUFACTURING DEFECT in their HD PVR box.......Whenever the power goes off and returns,the box stops working. The 'blue' light which usually comes when we use the pause function crops up and no channels are shown.... This is the 6th time i am facing this problem.......twice i have got new boxes and 4 times i have received old boxes, but all of them failed.......today another new hd pvr stopped working for me......there is no problem in my home as i use my regular boxes w/o issues in the same living room,where the hd pvr is installed.........This is the last time i have called them for repair.......if this happens again, will migrate to airtel. period

Ganguly, I think the problem is with Tata Sky signal than to ur STB. When the power returns it fails to initiate recieving signal and takes timeto start the transmission. This phenomena is due to weak signal strength or something like that. I faced similar problems and they charged me 300 bucks for a visiting engineer, but without a effective wayout. Their signal is down almost 6 hours a day, hopefully the dumb box kept saying NO SIGNAL even in fair weather situations,too and took long time to start transmission. And some of the channels(like their own showcase channels) hardly caught signal for moments. I dont know but still TATA sky is the first choice of IBF guys:

For myself I downgraded to cable connection (CAS system)and now I am quite satisfied.
And if u talk about Airtel just listen what the other forum members are saying. Fact is all DTH are the same, India still has to improve a lot.

but i have put my normal box and also the regilar pvr box at the same place, they started instataneously......so i doubt if there's a signal problem
