Need a point and shoot camera under 20k.Canon and Sony preferred.Not biased towards any specific feature. 🙂

It's a nice camera overall.

It records videos in 1080i AVCHD though.

If video recording is not your priority then go for it, it looks awesome, obviously features are nice as well 🙂
 
Ok so I made up my mind, I need a decent SLR under 25k.Canon/Nikon preferred.
 

.. its nice cam .. worth of every penny you spent on it .. if you want to have optimum utilization from slr cam .. go for crack courses .. it really help to improve the photography and help you to operate the camera ...
 
Congratulations on your new purchase!You done right, spending a bit more hurts once but, it's all about feel good factor 🙂...and satisfactions that you own good shit!
 
Yea started hunting for a costly p&s camera and ended up buying a cheap dslr costing 1.5x the p&s, PS. 😀
 
i made the same mistake around 5-6 years ago. problem? people started mistaking me for a hired photographer at events (friend's marriage for example). though things have changed a lot these days. DSLRs are more common so people do not tend to take you as a hired photographer if you are carrying one at a gathering. 😛
