Hi friends, just came across in bangalore, using my Galaxy note on TATA docomo network i get H+ sign and using on airtel network i get just H sign. seems like TATA docomo is true HSPA + network and airtel only offers 7.2 mbps network. same with AIRCEL too. so if above is true then we would compromise on future speeds by staying on airtel?

Depends on whether airtel upgrades its network in your area to hspa+ at a later stage 🙂

as per wiki, airtel and all other operators has HSPA+ network, but dont know why symbol comes differently. may be base station would be HSPA+, but backbone would not be IP

One thing for sure, mtnl doesn't have hspa+, its on hsdpa, and maybe airtel has hsdpa too in your area.

all operators deployed HSPA+ at places, may be your place has only HSPA BTS because where traffic is less there is no use of putting a HSPA+ BTS !
