Huawei Ideos X1

I've been using ancient tech for a while now. Decided to get something fancy and not too pricey. Dell XCD35 selling at INR 8000 caught my eye. I mentioned this to a friend overseas and he immediately said he could match it with HTC Wildfire for the same price. He was kind of pushing me towards HTC and I was reluctant. On Christmas day he called about sale offers at his place and was pitching for the HTC again. I got restless and told him to just get the cheapest device on the floor. It was a Huawei Ideos X1 for INR 4500. Now the Huawei has been bought. A cursory check of reviews show it may not be a bad phone after all. I know it's water under the bridge but still wanted to get some opinion here.Anyone here with first hand experience on Huawei Ideos X1? It'll be my first Android/smartphone.

I have tried it for maybe 20-30 minutes , it was slow sometimes when opening pictures etc, camera quality was sometimes fine and sometimes will let u down, build quality was good and features are also good 🙂

Thanks for the frank opinion. Good to hear at least build quality is not a let down.
