I got an sms that there is some fire in switch which controls 2G network of mtnl in BKC Bandra and there will be no 2G network in western suburb of Mumbai. They said that switch to 3G network if you have such handset or wait till it is rectified.

Is MTNL Trump/Dolphin network down??I am in Vile Parle Mumbai area and its showing no signal (2G as well as 3G) from 3hrs or so.All 3 MTNL mobiles not working. Can anyone confirm?

Strange thing is when I search networks. It shows MTNL with right tick next to it.Which means, Mobile is able to detect network and also register itself. But mobile shows "no signal" and cant make/receive calls.

Hmm. Working fine here. Call 1503. If that doesnt work, call the wireless noc.

ok thanks for prompt response.Which area are you in?

Are you trying on different mobiles ? Their network has become so buggy lately, which is tragic given the fact that their coverage has been pretty awesome for me.Chembur. Confirmed working at other places too.

I dont have to try with different mobiles 😀Because I have 3 mobiles near me and all 3 are showing no signal 😀

Not mine. Everyone in house owns MTNL mobiles. As we get 198Rs MTNL to MTNL (landline/mobile/CDMA - all over mumbai) free.

I called 1503.Lady said whole Mumbai network is down and it will come up tomorrow. So how come x720 is getting?

Alright. This is weird. My mtnl delhi number is working perfectly (data, texts, calls everything)But, my mtnl mumbai number isnt working ie no signal.

I think there database server for Mumbai network is down. Because as I already said, mobile is detecting the network but no signals. So I assume, database server is down. But delhi numbers database wud be with delhi related server, which is not down. So its working.Just a proabable guess.
