Hello friends I got four questions:

1)How much does genuin windows XP cost now a days?

2)I got a pirated version of windows XP that came with a "keyfinder.exe" file which is marked by MSE as HackTool.

But this file is supposed to find product key for windows, so the file is necessary.

Question is is this file actually harmful?

3)And if such malware exist on a computer can that put any stress/mess up with the HARDWARE(i.e. cause BSOD/ UNWANTED RESTART/ affect the BIOS programming PERMANENTLY e.t.c.)?

4)If antivirus program doesnt find any virus, how much is the chance that still bootsector virus may exit on that copy of windows?

1)MS doen't sell windows xp anymore. u will have to buy win 72) keyfinder.exe simply retrives the product key on installed pc. it is not malware. most viruses mark keygens/retrievers/patchers as malware.3) if malware exists on ur pc then yes it can cause bsods etc etc. but not screw the hardware. it will only create s/w problems.4) it can still exist. low probability though.
 
I dont think u can buy xp anymore as officially from MS but try any online shopping sites (maybe around 5000 rupees) why stuck with keyfinder.exe?? Download any other free tool to get the key.Chances of virus affecting ur hardware is zero i think. It can corrupt system files etc.
