I haven't used any of tata's services other than the ones offered by tata teleservices. When it comes to tata docomo GPRS, tata docomo 3G, tata photon plus in south India, I consider them as a FRAUD.

so basically we (customer)are screwed from all side.
like politician we have to choose the one which is least harmful . so sad.

@nimi20: sadly yes. I often buy 3-4 SIMs before settling into one provider.

However, for 2G, I believe (except tata docomo) operators genuinely face spectrum shortages, resulting in slower GPRS connections. Bur for 3G, our backbone wireline network is appallingly slow.

not least harmful... we have to choose who is sabse chhota chhor! Chhor hai sabke sab!

Vodafone store at R.T.NAGAR Bangalore and its Manager AMRITA BHAVASAR lied to me that she is going to fix the speed problem in next few days. Atleast that will be bought upto 4 to 7.1 mbps, but even after 15 days, i am still getting 0.63 kbps speed.

See it to believe:

Another jokers by name Hussain and Vidhyadhar made it clear to me that refunds cannot be made.

As some one said it is same story here like our politicians. I truly believe that, after all these corporates have to contribute for Swiss accounts of politicians.

off topic
I bought Reliance before Vodafone, which promised high speed, but no where in Bangalore I got more than 0.80 mbps, and at my home less than 0.090 mbps. It is fault with their misleading selling practices. However sometime I use borrowed MTS , which is much better than Vodafone and Reliance. I have not tried Photon yet but in my opinion even that is not going to be worth my time. I had worst experience with Tata Docomo mobile sound quality due to signal problem in heart of city.

RT NAGAR Bangalore Vodafone store Manager AMRITA BHAVASAR, her sales man HUSSAIN and Vidhyadhar even stopped picking up phones from last one week. So where is the customer service? I called their customer service numbers and they said only Vodafone store can do something on it.

They are sitting on my money and I am sitting on their piece of garbage. It is nothing more than open broad day looting.

You should know the difference between 0.63 kbps and 0.63 mbps!before you buy Voda data card, you should have bought Voda prepaid sim ,put Rs 99 -3G pack and checked signal strength in your home with a 3G phone /data card ( or borrowed).Keep the sim in phone and check speed in near by areas.or If you have a laptop, check speed with the sim in Voda data card in near by main road or malls.:smiley-ashamed004:

Hello Sir/Madam,

Thanks for writing to us. As checked, everything seems to be working fine at our end. If you need any further assistance please write to us at vodafonecare.kar@vodafone.com Happy to help!

Kind Regards,
Vodafone Customer Care, Karnataka

My very dear VodafoneIndia.
Can you tell me the basis stating " everything seems to be working fine" , How did you check , where did you check or did some one called me? Or you are merely closing the complaint as a routine measure to look good in your records. I have tried calling VODAFONE store so many times, they do not pick up phone at all. If you think you are so responsible and happy to help, why AMRITA BHAVSAR and HUSSAIN are hiding?? why don't they show up and refund my money?

If you have any evidence to show that everything seems to be working fine , please post the proof, else do not act like a troll. Are you saying that now speed has improved from 0.63 MBPS to 7 MBPS, i am not even looking for 21.1MBPS as it was originally promised by your salesman at vodafone store, I know it is not practical. Please stop lieing and stop manipulating your CS records. I have slight idea that most customer service centers ,close the complaints on their own .Even before any resolution customer gets call asking if they are satisfied with their resolution and we are expected to say "Y" yes. I agree I got a call from a girl in Vodafone asking me if I am satisfied by their service, even before I could elaborate she hung up the phone. That shows the call was merely to satisfy their bosses internally and not the customer.. I really cannot trust this CSR game and tricks, looks like it is routine to bury the complaints by doing some stage managed drama to make internal statistics look good to their higher ups.

Here is the screenshot of same being tested on 30th Dec 2011

VodafoneIndia, now prove me what is being done. I have written to all the emailers you have provided, but never even got any acknowledgement of that. ... I am asking you to just get lost, I have lost money, but I would certainly ask my friends , colleagues to be aware of your speed and sick customer service.

I wonder @ cold(hot by now)time's 21 mbps data card locked or not?

If not he can throw away the vodafone sim and use Airtel or Aircel 3G prepaid sim!

You can cry here till the cows come home but vodafone will never even lift a finger! (at the worst they could have sent a tech to his home and rule out whether there is problem in his pc settings!)

Vodafone 3G does give 3 to 5 mbps easily if the signal is good and 3G data pack is indeed used.!

+1 @AbhishekSunlock the datacard and use it with provider with best signal in your area. BSNL, Aircel, Airtel and Docomo have 3G license for Karnataka. Vodafone will not have control over the towers they use, as they dont have 3g license. they are at the mercy of Airtel to put new towers or tweak signal of towers.so best is to go with one of the above 4 providers

After two months one Ms Lalitha Venkataraman called from Vodafone, wilson garden office . Call came from number 080-7163-6101, which is untraceable. She promised that something will be done, as I spoke to her for 20 minutes giving all the information, as I did so many times to their customer care email IDs, but nothing worked. I feel this time also it is going to remain same . "HAPPY TO HELP" team is only working like coolies filling their statistics and reports and closing the case on their own, without any real action.

VODAFONE SUCKS.... BEWARE.

Following automated references generated , fetched no results, however I have stopped VODAFONE 3G services, but this lady wants me to remain with VODAFONE, as I am being privileged customer as per their system . LOL

Hello Sir/Madam,

Please note that the connection has been deactivated effective 08/12/2011. We kindly request you to visit the nearest Vodafone store for reactivation. Email us at vodafonecare.kar@vodafone.com for any assistance in future, we'd be glad to help.

Regards,
Vodafone Customer Care, Karnataka

Hello VodafoneIndia, I really appreciate your information and comprehension on this subject. I have closed my connection on my own on 6 th of Jan 2012, I rarely used at 512kpbs speed in the first week of January. My original complaint was speed issue.
Today when I spoke to one Ms. Lalitha she told me this SIM phone number attached to USBD belongs to some body else, which I found quite funny. I have a registered invoice copy which shows I purchased this connection on 8th of Dec 2011, contrary to your information that it was deactivated on 8 Dec. 2011. You are probably referring to your previous subscriber on same number. Now I know level of your knowledge, specially when I have posted all automated reference numbers. This is what happens when Vodafone hire dropouts from Secondary schools to work in customer service and also to post here blindly. I updated this thread when Vodafone India called me today, after the disconnection on 6th of Jan 2012 and she wanted to resolve the issue.

Now I am of firm opinion that Customer service can never be good here when these greedy companies want big profit with low paid staff in sales and customer service. IT IS FOOLISH TO EXPECT HELP FROM THESE JERKS, while seniors are busy dating their colleagues in air conditioned offices. I AM SAYING BIG NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO TO VODAFONE. GO TAKE DIP IN HOLY GANGA OR KAVERI.

Vodafone does not have a 3G license in Karnataka (obviously including Bangalore since not considered as a separate circle unlike Mumbai).

Tata Docomo, Airtel and Aircel are 3G winners in Karnataka Circle. Besides the fault of Vodafone, YOU as a consumer should've checked facts before buying instead of reacting to ads which are mostly misleading.

There is not a single ethical operator in India. Personally, I'm very happy with Vodafone in Mumbai.

Airtel has been down twice so far and seem to be spending more on SRK and African Ops than on their networks. This is similar to Indian Cricketers who spend more time shooting for Ads / Endorsements than performing for our country during tournaments. Thus they are more in front of cameras than on cricket pitches 😀

Anyway back to the topic, Vodafone, Airtel and Idea have been pulled up by TRAI for 3G signal sharing in circles where each of them have not won 3G spectrum.

In Mumbai, Idea openly advertises and sell 3G dongles, when in fact Airtel, Vodafone and Reliance (GSM) are official 3G Spectrum / License winners for the Mumbai circle.

For the combined circle of Maharashtra and Goa: Vodafone, Idea and Tata Docomo are official 3G winners.

Looking at your situation, you should've directly approached Consumer Forums, Media Watch Dogs and emailed the Management Team of Vodafone India directly.
