India witnessed a growth of 1.03% in its broadband connection base, taking the total number of broadband connections to 12.98 million in October 2011 from 12.84 million in September.
- There were 626.14 million active connection in the month of October.
- Idea has 92.03% of its connections active- the maximum among all the operators.
- Airtel has the second highest active connection base of 88.79%, followed by Vodafone at 82.79%.
- Etisalat, S Tel, MTNL, and Videocon are at the bottom in terms of the number of active subscribers.
- In terms of Active connections, J&K leads with 81.36% active subscribers, followed by Assam, Madhya Pradesh and Maharashtra. Mumbai has just 59.68% active subscribers, the lowest among all circles.
