Hi, I am using core2duo processor 2.93Ghz, 2GB RAM, Windows 7 Ultimate OS. My problem is that whenever i open multiple youtube video screens, the PC restarts, whether i use IE or Chrome browser. But the same don't happen when i use PC for other purposes or when i browse other websites(multiple at the same time) or while downloading any videos. So i don't think the problem relates to any overheating of hardware as it happens only in youtube cases. Kindly help to solve the problem.

Check your processor fan..it might getting over heated processing videos as videos requires high processing power, or might be loosely connected RAM.

Please tell your whole config..like video card..monitor...etc..Try using Safari browser....This might be a problem of your video card as well...You might be trying to process 720p videos..if your monitor and video card are incapable...then it may lead to a dead end...But thats a Rare case...!!Still config please..!! 🙂

Thank for the reply. @icircuit, i will check my processor fan and also any loseness in RAM. @ volcano619, i am using original Intel motherboard series 42 and no special video card is there. My monitor is 23" LG monitor. This problem happens even when i run 360 or 480 quality videos(multiple). One thing i would like to add here is that, my MB battery has probably gone bad, due to which the system date and time are not updated properly. Could that be reason behind my problem?

submit your config using cpu-z.

Scan your PC first with any anti virus.

Thanks for all the reply. Acrually my motherboard is Original Intel series 42 and i don't have any graphics card. I use 23" LG make monitor. This problem occurs even when i run 360p or 480p videos in Youtube(multiple). One thing, i suspect that my MB battery is not working properly as the system time and date are not updating properly. Could that be reason of my problem? I will submit the config using cpu-z shortly.

A weak CMOS battery would not trigger automatic restarts while playing multiple youtube videos. Meanwhile do try reinstalling your display drivers.

There is no special display card installed in my PC. How to install the display drivers? or only i have to install the MB driver and it will take care of the display as well as motherboard driver.

Dont know why but I strongly sense there is overheating issue. CPU usage go very high during video processing..so make sure that your processor fan in working properly and you can check the paste which is used between processor and heat-sink. sometime this semi-liquid element goes dry and could not transfer processor heat to heat-sink properly.

has anyone talked about SMPS? it is the most critical component in the desktop. 🙂
