Raj2007, What if they have cleared the Check? Companies will be clearing the check as soon as they Receive the payment check.

In which cities is reliance wireline broadband available? I'm thinking of switching to it, am at bhubaneswar

Please read posts.. reliance is one of the worst ISP..

Service : worst
CC: They dont even have reference number for our call.. And they will tell concerned people will call you back ASAP , but that will never happen.
They dont have online payment.
Technicians: Irresponsible.
Sales: At their best to do their work ASAP (collecting money and document) and then of no use..

If you dint have any alternate, then it is your bad luck

Thanks for reminding. I do feel the same. I sent a mail to them asking if they are providing service in bhubaneswar and they just replied with a standard new customer details form. I replied clearly stating that i will provide details only if you confirm if the service is even available here in my city, and to my surprise, they sent me the same email they sent earlier.

They don't even read emails from prospective customers (though they pretend to). I can well imagine what can happen with post-sales service.

Google search term : broadband Reliance at Bhubaneswar.
Bhubaneshwar Broadband Plans India - BSNL, Reliance, Sify, Ortel, Vodafone,

Thanks.
I'm on Ortel.
They meet their speed commitment and downtime is not too high.

Looking at what you guys say about reliance, it is out of question, although I'm using it's 3G service which is quite fast within city.

I will never even touch BSNL

Sify is WLAN which is recommended against.

So, it's better stick to ortel for now.

If we create a poll in this forum for Reliance wireline broadband users like:a) Good service/Luckyb) Poor service/UnluckyI bet the poll will end up in 50:50.Im on the lucky side so no big complaints. :tennis:Among big ISP players across India reliance is the only one that made 500 kbps minimum speed. Even the FUPed plans get 600 kbps as min post usage.Whereas Airtel,Bsnl etc., gives only 256 kbps post FUP.
