A PC alternative for a MacBook Air?

Take a look atThinkpad T420s and X1Not AS slim as MBA, but pretty decent and lightweight
 
Its around 1.8kgNot too bad considering it has a full powered processor (not a ULV version),ODD and user replacable battery
 
Theres a choice of XPS 14z as well, dont know how good it isX220 and T420/T420s are the ULTIMATE laptops if you dont mind their looks (I kind of prefer Thinkpad looks, but many people dont like them) and dont plan on gaming
 

The Thinkpads on Flipkart are not the best ones.

Try contacting Lenovo sales to get a better config, these all are low resolution variants. (and they come with a 3 yr carry in warranty, so you need to pay extra to upgrade it to onsite. It can be extended for a total of 7 yrs though)

Dell laptops are pretty decent, as well as the After sales.

Have used a Latitude for a year, any issues were usually solved within 4 -8 hours onsite
