Vodafone Deducting Money for No Reason

My monthly internet plan got deactivated on 1st December 12:00am. At 11:50pm (30th November), I deactivated the usage of packet data on my phone. I do this each time before my plan is about to expire.

Now with the new internet usage notifications (see here for info), I sometimes receive notifications of money charged for no data usage. Have a look at the screenshots below, the message itself says that no data was used but still I was charged.

Before these internet notifications started, I wonder how many times Vodafone was deducting money from our balances in this way.
Till now, I have received such notifications for no data usage 4 times, and charged 50p till now (10+10+20+10). It's not the matter of 50 paise, it's the matter of trust or probably a system error.

And a special request to VodafoneIndia (IBF User), please don't post your same reply which you always do. If you can help me, only then post otherwise don't post anything.

which mobile phone is this??

with no active data pack to deduct from, it gets deducted from main balance it seems. delete the "APN" or make it wrong. the phone should not have a valid/correct gprs setting in its memory. If you see "E" on means your gprs settings are intact. your phone is trying to contact and update .could be even fe kb /kB.If I put a sim (which has previously saved internet settings for that operator), before I know it, my android phone is already downloading something and rs 20-50 gone.so with out a valid data pack I can not put any sim in my android unless I delete that APN.

No, when I deactivate 'use packet data', no data is exchanged through SIM card. And whenever the phone tries to connect, it asks me to activate packet data again. So it never uses packet data if I don't want it to. And that 'E' sign on bada OS means that Edge network is available. When an arrow comes below E, only then is the data exchanged. Even the vodafone message shows that data usage was 0.00 MB.

And have a look at the 2 images below. First one is the setting which shows that packet data is disabled. And the second one shows that whenever phone tries to connect, it doesn't connect but asks me to activate packet data.

if the Vodafone cc is not registering complaint or not resolving the problem call the nodal officer/appellate. I am from Bangalore and from my experience Vodafone Nodal officer/team in Bangalore have always been responsive and were able to resolve complaints without wasting much time.

Thanks for the suggestion, but I won't call them as this just seems to be a system bug. I can't be calling the nodal officer and ask him to refund my 50 paise! 😛

its better u complain & resolve this system fault/bug since u told It's not the matter of 50 paise, it's the matter of trust or probably a system error.
u might lose more if u wait ..after losing more money no point in crying .. :stop:

I've been getting these same notifications on a Nokia for about a week, and I'm not alone - Sushubh pointed out to me some other people getting this too. For me usually it happens after I make/receive a call, but I also get 20+ notifications if I actually use data service. Last night when I was on a call I got so many notifications (after clicking "next" about 30 times) I just said "clear all".

looks like Vodafone mass stealing to me ...as this bug steals does nt transfer balance to u......
