Airtel introduces Indiaā€™s first free mobile access to Twitter

----------

From now till 1st March 2012, Airtel mobile customers can enjoy free access to Twitter via http:// mobile.twitter.com, and can also use SMS shortcode 53000 to sign up for Twitter and even Tweet or receive Tweets from specified users.

This limited period Twitter offer by Airtel is a first-of-its-kind initiative in India which allows customers to enjoy free access to Twitter through web browsers (by visiting http://mobile.twitter.com) and enjoy posting Tweets, keeping up with news and whatā€™s happening in the world, and following friends, celebrities etc,and
more. Whatā€™s more, even without activating GPRS ā€” Airtel mobile customers can sign up for Twitter or subscribe to SMS updates of specific users (via short code 53000) on their mobile phones free for the period of this offer.

I wonder how many people would get ripped off because of this scheme.

Known fact that airtel was charging for access to 0.facebook.com which is supposed to be totally free.

Now that they had earned a lot of money from 0.facebook kaand, they must be planning similar kind of fraud on the name of twitter.

Atleast the fine of Rs 50 Crore which they have to pay to TRAI will be recovered from this scam. šŸ˜›
