Daniel Day-Lewis embodies 'Lincoln' | Inside Movies | EW.com

Spielberg tells EW that Day-Lewis captures not just the likeness of the 16th U.S. president in the below image, but also the intangible, pensive quality that made him a great leader. “Lincoln had a very, very complicated – and at the same time, extremely clear — inner life,” the director says. “He thought things out. He talked things out. He argued both sides of every issue. And he was very careful in making any decision. As a matter of fact, his opponents and his enemies criticized him often for being impossibly slow to a decision.”

finally saw it. awesome movie. i have to admit that i had little idea on what was going on considering my lack of knowledge about the american civil war. but this movie has some great actors (a lot from the television shows we discuss on a daily basis)... amazing acting from the bunch. enough funny moments. and lots of emotions too. if you want to see the best of spielberg... this is the movie you should check out. the guy has outdone himself.

it should. considering reliance produced it! but it would not do well here in india. it is based on american history and is long and boring. i watched it in batches frankly speaking! but loved it.And i very seriously hope they give Daniel Day-Lewis an Oscar for this movie. Django was fun and all. But this one is a masterpiece!

well i am sick and tired of the anti-smoking ads in theaters. they are in the beginning. they are in the interval. they are in every scene where a dude is smoking a ciggie.there is lots of smoking in both django and lincoln. it would probably get very annoying to watch it in theaters. plus the accent of the actors in both the movies. without subtitles, someone like me would miss out on almost all the dialogues 😀

These aspects of government makes it look like the government is doing some good jobs......... You know welfare and all. But it's an eye wash................ Because government does not say don't drink alcohol specifically, it just doesn't say anything on it, keeps silent and keep selling 😛

from what i see. government is just telling movie goers to pirate movies and enjoy them without censorship and cuts and other form of freaking nuisance.
