DoT seeks info from CDMA players on EVDO services - Economic Times




Last week, GSM operators' lobby Cellulars Operators Association of India (COAI) had written a letter to Telecom Secretary R Chandrasekhar in which it had raised concerns that CDMA operators are offering high-speed Internet access without paying an auction fee, like in the case of 3G services, causing a revenue loss of over Rs 14,800 crore to the government.

How fruitful is Telecom Department na. Ministers have huge scope for making black money. 😀

But on more serious note iam Extremely angry on UPA! ****ers doing nothing but feasting over Taxpayers moneY.
 
2G Scam, Then in pipleline is 3G Roaming Scam and now EVDO Scam . And some future Telecom Scams will be 4G Scam, 700 Mhz 4G Scam .......:sidefrown:
 
Ya , it was headline of DNA too. 1.76 lac crore :bulgy-eyes: that arsehole had calculated the loss of all past present and future scams 😀
 
So what i want to convey is don't go by these reports which news suggest. Try reading CAG report on 2G scam. You would have know from day 1 that 1.76 lakhs cr is fictitious.
 
You are correct buddy. Bt unless such news sparks a discussion, no one get into the things. Also this 1.76 lac crore figure was not mistake my media instead he is one of Auditor.
 
I don't think its scam, but could be negligence on part of Telecom ministry about not realizing the possibility use of CDMA spectrum for DATA service, which might be alloted for voice service only.I think even BSNL offers EVDO service, apart from TATA PHOTO, Reliance, MTS and few others.

I will still request you to read the conclusion of report on 2G scam it is of about 12 page. Please read the criteria on which the calculated. You will definitely change your statement. I just feel bad because PM said that these figures are incorrect in parliament and there was huge out cry by opposition on that
 
But I am unable to get your points here. Do you wish to say that the Loss Evaluation is not justified or you agree with it ??
